According to the New York Times a third of Bloomberg News’s content is generated by some form of automated technology. That was in 2019, before the advent of generative text-to-image models such as GPT-3. It's likely internet will soon be flooded with generated random content and fluent bullshit - for the worse or better.
These are humble experiments with a generated, fully automated news portal.
All events, stories and characters are entirely fictitious (even as they are more or less based on real events or triggered by them). Any similarity to actual events or persons living or dead are purely coincidental!
This content warning is real: Some articles are in fact made from nothing (such as health). Most articles do have some form of a title as a prompt though. This could be the headline of an existing article (category: climate), a conststructed title for a very abstract (and AI generated) GDELT event (category: world, or a title and summary generated by a commercial media monitoring service (which again where summarized/created by AI) as in all other categories. The only exceptions is the category 'panorama' which generates 'essays' from random wikipedia articles ...
