Bridget Katsriku was born in Ghana in the late 1960s. She studied Political Science and Law at the University of Ghana, Legon and later obtained a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career in public service in the early 1990s, working with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development. Throughout her career, Bridget Katsriku has been a champion of gender equality, advocating for the rights of women and girls in Ghana. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that women are represented in decision making positions in government and the private sector. She has also been a strong advocate for the rights of the disabled and has worked to ensure that the disabled are given equal access to education and employment opportunities. Bridget Katsriku is an inspiration to many in Ghana and beyond. Her dedication to public service and her commitment to gender equality have made her a role model for many. She is a symbol of hope and progress in Ghana and a reminder of the importance of public service in the country. Despite her many accomplishments, Bridget Katsriku’s life was tragically cut short in April 2015 when she was killed in a car accident. Her death was a devastating loss for Ghana and for the world. She was a leader, a mentor and an advocate for the rights of all Ghanaians. She was an inspiration to many and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her.
