Miss America 2023 has been crowned and it is Grace Stanke of Wisconsin. Stanke, 20, was announced as the winner of the Miss America pageant on Thursday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. She is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying nuclear engineering and is also a classical violinist. During the talent competition, Stanke played the violin and impressed the judges with her skill. During the red carpet portion and final round, she answered the questions with poise and confidence. Miss New York Taryn Delanie Smith was crowned as the first runner-up and Miss Michigan Abigail Kline was crowned as the second runner-up. Stanke was elated when her name was announced as the winner and said, “I am so honored to be named Miss America 2023. This is a dream come true and I am so excited to represent my state and country with pride.” Miss America 2023 will be a year of service, travel, and advocacy for Stanke. She hopes to use her platform to spread awareness about nuclear engineering and the importance of STEM education.
