Lady Gaga is set to make a surprise performance at the Academy Awards this Sunday, according to several insiders who spoke to Variety. The singer-songwriter is expected to take the stage and perform her Oscar-nominated song "Hold My Hand" from the movie, "Top Gun: Maverick". The decision to have Gaga perform at the show was a last-minute effort, as initially it was reported that she would not be attending due to her filming commitments for her upcoming movie, "Joker: Folie à Deux". However, Oscars executive producer and showrunner Glenn Weiss confirmed that Gaga would indeed be performing at the show. Gaga's performance will be the first time she has performed at the Academy Awards. She is nominated for Best Original Song for "Shallow" from the movie "A Star Is Born". The song, which she co-wrote with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt, has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award. The Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 9th, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The show will be hosted by actor and comedian Steve Martin and actress and singer Kristen Wiig.
