In a thrilling encounter at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi pulled off a 12-run victory over Islamabad United to qualify for the final. Islamabad United had a solid start to the chase as they reached 128-1 after 14 overs, courtesy of a century stand between Luke Ronchi and Hussain Talat. However, the Zalmi bowlers made a strong comeback in the next five overs, taking five wickets for only 16 runs to turn the match in their favor. In the end, Islamabad United were restricted to 166-6 in their 20 overs, falling short of Peshawar Zalmi's 178-8. Peshawar Zalmi will now take on the Lahore Qalandars in the second elimination game on Friday. The winner of this match will face the Multan Sultans in the final on Saturday, a day earlier than originally planned due to rain forecast on Sunday. This is Peshawar Zalmi's second PSL final in three years, having won the title in 2017. They will be hoping to repeat the feat and make it two out of three.
